Obituary of Oscar Ernest Meidinger

Oscar Ernest Meidinger was born on October 1, 1932 in New Zealand North Dakota. After a career in the  Navy, Oscar retired as a Chief in 1971. He continued to work as a foreman in the civil service for another 20 years before officially retiring in 1993.

He was an active and life member of the La Mesa VFW #1774. He was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed playing pool and poker.

He is survived by his wife, Jana Meidinger, his son James Meidinger (Sonia) and his daughter Michelle Purkapile, siblings Erma Hudson and William Meidinger and five grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held on a date to be determined.
